The Minnesota Department of Public Safety says a man from Darwin was the champ when it came to citations during a recent statewide crackdown on speeders. Richard Bernhagen, age 41, was ticketed for doing 148 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone on a road just outside Hutchinson.
State Patrol spokesman Lt. Eric Roeske says a trooper stopped Bernhagen's 2001 Mustang GT on Tagas Avenue just before 2 p.m. July 17. The trooper says Bernhagen stated "I haven't driven it in a while and was airing it out, I was wrong." ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! )

Drag racing? Nooo! Just airing out the old McLaren F1, it was just coincidence that my friend was also airing out his Viper.

You have to get those things up to 150 or so to check out the fluorocarbon output. He should have taken better care of his police escort.

He was the champ? Pfft. I allegedly drove that fast in a 35 mph zone once.
